Jigsaw is a group of mums who meet every Tuesday morning at 9.30am (term-time only) at the King’s Centre. It is difficult to describe what exactly we are, but the main aim of the group is to provide time-out for busy women to relax, share, discuss and laugh together.

There is a crèche provided for any children who come along, and whilst they play parents can enjoy real coffee (or tea!) and homemade cakes. Each week we look at a different topic. These might relate to our roles as mothers, or our relationships, ourselves or our beliefs. Some examples of topics include discipline, healthy eating, time for ourselves and communication. Other weeks we spend more time looking at what the Bible and Jesus have to say about life – coping with stress, our finances and love for example. We also enjoy practical sessions which include craft making, relaxation skills and nail art.

The most important thing about Jigsaw, however, is our friendships. There are no “experts” – but it is a place where we can be honest and open and will find acceptance and support (and usually some really useful tips!).
