Acts 2:42 “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.”
During August it feels right to focus on these four elements, especially fellowship and breaking of bread and so we will be running a variety of different service styles during August and each week we will be breaking bread together as we remember Jesus and the cross.
SUNDAY 25th July – Sunday Service with worship, talk and kid’s group.
SUNDAY 1st August – Breakfast Service – Focus on fellowship. Alongside this we will take communion together, hear a short all-age talk and spend some time praying together.
SUNDAY 8th August – Picnic Service. We have booked Sherbrooke Scout Camp in Calverton for the day and after a slightly later start, with coffee from 11am, we will have a short time of worship in the open air then plenty of time for fellowship, a picnic and fun & games. A great event to invite family and others along too. If you will need a lift to be arranged, please let me know.
SUNDAY 15th August – Sunday Service with worship, talk and kid’s activities.
SUNDAY 22nd August – Focus on Family –a family service with worship, games, short talk and a picnic at Burntstump afterwards (weather dependent).
Saturday 28th August – ONE event in Lincoln, day event – a great day for us all to attend as a church. Book a ticket for you and your family HERE
SUNDAY 29th August – no morning service (maybe a Church walk if the weather is good), but there will be a Tea Time Service at 5pm.
SUNDAY 5th September – relaunch church service, with kid’s groups, refreshments, etc…
